Dawn Across Windermere

The shores below Hawkshead offer some of the most peaceful and relaxing views of the amazing Lake Windermere

At 10.5 miles long, one mile wide and 220 feet deep, Windermere is the largest natural lake in England, and is fed by numerous rivers.

A trip across to Far Sawrey on the Hakwhsead Ferry gives quick access to this side of the lake and possibly the best of Windermere's shoreline, with fantastic views across to the hills and mountains beyond, and a little less of the tourist hustle.
