The Man from The Tarn
Looking across Tarn Hows to distinctive outline of The Old Man of Coniston.
Tarn Hows, close to the village of Coniston in The English Lake District. A beauty spot that must not be missed, consists of three tarns joined together surrounded by thick woodlands. Views towards Wetherlam, the Helvellyn range and the Langdale Pikes, along with The Old Man itself, add to the magic.
In 1929, the Tarns were bought for preservation by Beatrix Potter and later donated to the National Trust.
